Why this Robomate

Finds its way without a wire

Finds its way without a wire

LiDAR, AI cameras and NetRTK work together, so it knows where it is under trees, beside the house and out in the open. There's no boundary wire to lay.

Mows the narrow strips others miss

Mows the narrow strips others miss

Side paths between the house and fence block satellite signal, which is where most robot mowers get stuck. This one keeps going in strips as narrow as 55 cm.

Looks after several lawns

Looks after several lawns

Map up to 10 separate lawn areas and it drives between them on its own, as long as there's a path its wheels can follow.

Put it down and let it mow

Put it down and let it mow

It maps the lawn itself. For a one-off job, use DropMow: set it down on any patch of grass and it mows everything it can reach, then stops.

Common questions

Call 0800 ROBOM8
Does it need a boundary wire?

No. These mowers use satellite positioning, LiDAR and cameras to map and navigate your lawn, so there is no wire to lay or repair.

Will it work under trees?

Models with LiDAR keep their position under tree cover and near buildings, where satellite-only mowers can lose signal. Check the navigation spec above.

Can I set it up myself?

Yes. You map the lawn by driving the mower around the edge in the app, and our video guides walk you through it. Professional installation is available if you'd rather we did it.

Does 4G cost extra?

Models with a 4G module include the service for the period shown in the specifications, so the mower stays connected even where Wi-Fi doesn't reach.

What does the warranty cover?

See the warranty in the specifications above. Repairs and servicing are handled by our New Zealand workshops.

How often should it mow?

Usually several times a week. Little and often keeps the lawn healthy, and the fine clippings act as natural mulch.
