How to Update the Firmware on Your Lymow One Plus
Keep your robot mower performing at its best and safely with the latest firmware delivered wirelessly through the Lymow app.
Before You Begin
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Update the Lymow App
Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and search for Lymow. If an update is available, tap Update and wait for it to install before proceeding. Some firmware versions require a minimum app version — for example, firmware v2.1.43 requires Lymow app v3.0.5 or later.
Step 2: Ensure the Mower is Docked and Online
Place the Lymow One Plus on its charging station and confirm it is connected to Wi-Fi. Open the Lymow app and verify that your mower shows as Online on the home screen. If it shows as offline, check your Wi-Fi network and restart the mower.
⚠️ Important: Never attempt a firmware update when the mower is away from its charging station or running low on battery.
Step 3: Check Your Current Firmware Version
In the Lymow app, tap on your device, then navigate to Settings → Device Info (or About). Here you will see the current firmware version installed on your mower. Compare this with the latest release listed on the Lymow Help community forum to confirm whether an update is available.
Step 4: Trigger the Firmware Update ( OTA Update in Lymow terms)
When a new firmware is available, the Lymow app will display an update notification or prompt on the home screen. Tap the Update button when prompted. If you don’t see a prompt, navigate to Device > Settings (COG Icon) > OTA Update > Then it shows the current version and an Update button at the bottom. If you press it and already running the latest firmware it will give you a pop up saying it's already running the latest.
💡 Tip: If the update button is greyed out, your mower is already on the latest available firmware, or the update hasn’t rolled out to your region yet.
Step 5: Wait for the Download and Installation
The app will display a progress bar as the firmware downloads over Wi-Fi and installs on the mower. This typically takes several minutes. Do not close the app, lock your phone screen, or move the mower during this process. Interruptions can cause the update to fail or leave the mower stuck in upgrade mode.
Step 6: Let the Mower Restart
Once installation is complete, the mower will automatically restart. It may briefly show as offline in the app during the reboot — this is completely normal. Wait a minute or two for the mower to come back online and reconnect to the app.
Step 7: Verify the Update Was Successful
Once the mower is back online, go to Settings → Device Info in the app and confirm the firmware version number now matches the latest release. Run a short test mow or check that all core functions (remote control, mapping, scheduling) are working correctly.
✅ Success: If the version number matches the latest release and the mower operates normally, your firmware update is complete!
Check the Lymow Help community forum for full patch notes on every release.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Mower stuck in upgrade mode: If the mower gets stuck in upgrade mode for more than 30 minutes and shows as offline in the app, wait patiently for up to two hours. If it still doesn’t recover, contact Lymow support with your model and serial number.
Update fails to start: Ensure the mower has a stable Wi-Fi connection and the app is on the correct version. Restart both the mower and the app, then try again. Avoid updating during periods of network congestion.
Mower goes offline during update: Do not restart the mower manually. Give it time to attempt recovery. If it remains offline for over two hours, contact Lymow customer support via the official Help Center.
