How to Clean Your Robot Mower (And why you should)
Your robot mower works hard so you don't have to but every now and then, it needs a little love in return. Here's a quick guide from our team on keeping your Yuka or Luba in top shape.
Why cleaning matters
These robots are out in all conditions: wet grass, clippings, mud. Over time, buildup underneath can affect performance. The good news? A proper clean takes less than five minutes.
What you'll need
Just two things: a garden hose and a dish brush.
Step-by-step:
- Turn off your mower before you do anything else.
- Lean it on its side. If you have a Luba 3, be mindful of the camera and the LiDAR on that side.
- Hose and scrub the underside. You'll be surprised how much comes off. Especially after mowing wet grass.
For a deeper clean, remove the three screws on the disc cover, lift the discs off, and gently clean underneath.
One important rule: no water blasting. High-pressure water can damage the internals, so stick to a regular hose and a bit of elbow grease.
That's it. Look after your mate, and your mate will look after you.
