Robomate's Next Chapter: Expanding Into Australia
Robomate is crossing the Tasman. Backed by a fast-tracked funding package from NZEC and BNZ, we're taking our customer-first service model to Australia, all while growing stronger at home in Auckland.

Robomate has always been about more than just robotic lawnmowers, it's about the continued after-sale support and ensuring our customers experience the best service with Robomate, giving Time for Life®. Now, that mission is crossing the Tasman.
After strong growth here in New Zealand and a spot on the Deloitte Fast 50, we set our sights on Australia as our next big market. Rather than simply exporting product, we're exporting what makes Robomate work: hands-on customer engagement, technical know-how, and genuine after-sales support.
To fund this next phase, we partnered with New Zealand Export Credit (NZEC) and BNZ, introduced through New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. Together, they structured a funding package covering two priorities: working capital for inventory heading to Australia, and investment back home. This included our move to a bigger head office in Rosedale, Auckland, and a growing team across finance, marketing, IT, training and supply chain.
Thanks to NZEC's 50/50 Loan Guarantee Scheme, approval came through in just five working days, fast enough to keep pace with a time-sensitive opportunity.
The result? Momentum in Australia, and a stronger, bigger Robomate at home to support it.
It's proof that Kiwi businesses can scale offshore without losing what makes them great, because some of the best growth stories keep their roots firmly in New Zealand.
